Popeyes Louisiana Chicken’s Thanksgiving staple is back.

14-hour wait at new In-N-Out restaurant in Colorado may have led to brawl

For weeks, the fast-food New Orleans-style chicken chain has been taking preorders of its Cajun Style Turkeys at participating restaurants nationwide and you still might be able to grab one for your holiday meal.

Christmas 2020: Shoppers expected to spend more but COVID-19 remains the wild card

Yep, it’s happening again: Don’t count on finding toilet paper on your next run to Target or Walmart

Popeyes has teamed up with the on-demand delivery service to offer the Churkey special, an eight-piece family meal of fried chicken with one large side and four biscuits for $19.99. The chicken comes inside a plastic turkey and is available through Nov. 29 while supplies last.

Prices and participation vary and higher prices on delivery and additional fees may apply. But there’s a freebie offer too.

Spend a minimum of $20 on your “Friendsgiving feast” with Uber Eats delivery orders and get a free Popeyes Chicken Sandwich Combo with your order.

Here are Popeyes’ cooking instructions for how to prepare the Cajun-style turkeys:

  • Thaw 48 to 72 hours in the refrigerator or 10 to 12 hours in cold water (changing water hourly). Popeyes says, “DO NOT thaw at room temperature. Always leave in sealed plastic during thawing.”
  • Preheat conventional oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove all packaging, reserving juices.
  • Place turkey on a rack in a large roasting pan and pour juices into pan.
  • Reheat uncovered on lower rack in oven for 2 to 2.5 hours and until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit as measured by meat thermometer inserted into the deepest part of breast meat (not touching the bone).
  • Let stand 20 minutes before carving.
  • Save pan drippings for gravy if desired.
