Lacazette and Arsenal give returning fans a show as Gunners warm up for Spurs in style

The Arsenal fans are back – and Alexandre Lacazette could be as well.

The France striker has started the last two Premier League games on the bench for the Gunners, but he must now be at the forefront of Mikel Arteta’s mind for Sunday’s crucial north London derby at Tottenham following this excellent showing against Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.

Lacazette scored one and had a hand in another as Arsenal guaranteed qualification to the knockout stages as group winners with a 4-1 win in front of 2,000 fans at Emirates Stadium.

It was the first time since March that Arsenal had played in front of supporters on their own ground and they responded with a performance as good as we’ve seen for a long time.

The Spaniard made 11 changes from the team that lost to Wolves at the weekend, with Lacazette one again starting in a deeper No.10 role behind Eddie Nketiah, just as he had done in the win at Molde last week.

And the forward was the star of the show as Arsenal proved far too good for Vienna during an excellent opening 45 minutes in north London.

He opened the scoring after just 10 minutes, crashing a swerving shot past Richard Strebinger from 30 yards to end a run of eight games without a goal.

And then, soon after the returning Pablo Mari had made it 2-0 with a glancing header from Reiss Nelson’s corner as he hit the post with a smart snapshot from the edge of the box.

Lacazette has scored in three of his last four games against Tottenham and this felt like a performance aimed at ensuring he would be in the side on Sunday.

The 30-year-old was linking the play superbly and it was his perfect through ball that sent Nicolas Pepe clear in the build-up for Arsenal’s third, which was eventually finished off by Nketiah.

He was withdrawn on 63 minutes by Arteta, which was perhaps a sign that Arsenal’s manager was looking ahead to Sunday’s trip against north London.

Arteta has seen his side score just two goals in their last six games in the Premier League, with one of those coming from the penalty spot.

Joe Willock has started the last two games – against Leeds and Wolves – operating behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the No.10 role, but has struggled to make an impact.

And whilst using Lacazette in the playmaker role is a new experiment, his performance against Vienna showed he can provide and still be a goal threat.

He has certainly given Arteta a decision to make ahead of Sunday’s game at the league leaders, as has Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who was equally impressive playing in his natural central midfield role alongside Mohamed Elneny.

After Kohya Kitagawa had pulled one back for Vienna, Maitland-Niles linked up well with the lively Pepe before driving into the box and setting up Emile Smith Rowe to score.

It’s unlikely that

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker treated fans to the previously unheard outtake from her 2016 album ‘Glory’, which she made available to stream to coincide with her birthday.

The new song comes after it was revealed that Britney “will not perform” whilst her father is her conservator.

The ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ hitmaker – whose last gig was in October 2018 – recently filed new documents via her lawyer which asked the courts to strip her father, Jamie Spears, from his position as co-conservator of her estate entirely, as she no longer wants him in control of her life and career.

And last month, her lawyer claimed Britney is “afraid” of her dad, and doesn’t want to step foot on stage until he has been ousted from his role as conservator.

During a court hearing on November 10, Samuel D. Ingham III said: “My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She also stated that she will not perform as long as her father is in charge of her career. We are really at a crossroads.”

The court hearing was held to determine whether Jamie will remain the co-conservator of Britney’s estate, but Judge Brenda Penny ultimately decided not to suspend Jamie, although she said the matter can be further discussed “down the road.”

Despite her legal battle with her father, Britney – whose fans have launched the #FreeBritney campaign – recently admitted she is “happiest” she’s ever been.

Upon her return to social media after a brief break, the Grammy-winner told her fans she is “fine” and in a great place personally.

In a video for her followers, she said: “Hi, so I know that there have been a lot of comments, and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me.

“But I just want to let you guys know that I am fine. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.

“And I’m sending all of you guys a lot of prayers, wishes and a lot of love.”

Carrie Underwood’s ‘Gift’ to Fans: Creating ‘Light in a Dark Year’ With New Christmas Album & Special

Fans can see her perform “Hallelujah” with Legend, as well as other holiday treats on her HBO Max special My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood, premiering Thursday. She’ll also reveal behind-the-scenes moments during the recording process of “Little Drummer Boy” with her 5-year-old son Isaiah to spread much-needed holiday cheer from her family to others.

“I really hope people watch it and just feel at peace. It’s the kind of thing that you can watch with your family. Hopefully, people sing along with me on their couches and just get a sense of hope and peace and love and joy and all of the good things that are about Christmas,” Underwood tells Billboard via a phone interview.

“Silent Night” and “Hallelujah” from your album are among the top five most-streamed holiday songs this year. Why do you think your fans have particularly gravitated to those songs from your Christmas album?

You never know how people are going to react when you record something or write something or whatever it is. You just kind of throw it all out there and just see. But I think with “Hallelujah,” it’s just a beautiful song. It covers a lot of ground in Christmas song land. It’s got some spiritual aspects to it, it’s got kind of this love story thing to it, it’s got all of the tactile [elements] … winter’s chill, candles. It paints the scene really well, so it kind of puts you into that time of year. And I’m glad to see people are digging what we’re doing.

Your HBO Max special is officially being unwrapped this week. What’s the most heartfelt moment you’re looking forward to fans seeing as you perform your original and traditional Christmas carols?

We went about this whole special just wanting it to be beautiful and timeless. And the way it’s shot, the scenes that are created around me, are just that. I got the chance to watch it back in a theater and sit there — it was just four or five of us watching everything. And I was singing — not literally, but with my body, like tensing up singing every note with myself, and just the way it’s shot is just beautiful. I really hope people watch it and just feel at peace.

How did it feel recording “Little Drummer Boy” with your 5-year-old son Isaiah, who made his Billboard chart debut with the track?

It was so great. He came in, I asked him if he might want to do it. I definitely wanted it to be his choice and didn’t want to force him into it or make it feel like work or anything like that. And he, at 5 years old, I feel like has just such a heart for the Lord. He is so compassionate and so sweet and so giving and so loving. He is what I think of when I think of the “Little Drummer Boy.” So I asked him if he wanted to

‘Sister Wives’ Fans Bash Robyn Brown’s Jewelry Line as Christine Brown Sells Online

Sister Wives fans have noticed that the Brown family seems to have upped the ante on selling their various wares online. Christine Brown and Meri Brown are always hawking their LuLaRoe gear during live events, and now Christine is even selling Robyn Brown’s discontinued jewelry lines. Regardless of the Brown family hustle, Sister Wives fans are not particularly impressed with the quality of Robyn Brown’s jewelry — and they’re not afraid to be vocal about it either.

Sister Wives fans briefly thought Christine Brown and Kody Brown might be on the way to a split. This came about specifically because Kody transferred a piece of property to Christine Brown, making her the sole independent owner.

This was noteworthy because it’s the first time a piece of Brown real estate has been signed over to one of Kody Brown’s wives for independent ownership. The property was worth a little over $500,000, and was purchased in 2018.

Some fans thought this was a sign of marital troubles for the two, given how unprecedented the whole situation seemed. Christine Brown put the rumors to rest, however, by taking several opportunities to highlight the ring on her finger during recent LuLaRoe livestreams.

Others have noted that the Brown family has been dealing with monetary and real estate problems for quite some time now, and suggested that the transfer may have more to do with that than with any deterioration in their relationship.

Christine Brown sells Robyn Brown’s jewelry

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown briefly started a jewelry line that she named “My Sisterwife’s Closet.” However, the line was short lived. Now, when visitors land on the page, they’re greeted with a notification that reads, “We’ll be back soon! We are busy updating the store for you. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed!”

There have been virtually no updates since the page was originally shut down in 2019. However, as reported by The Sun, My Sisterwife’s Closet still has an active business license with the Arizona Corporation Commission.

Christine Brown has been working hard to hawk her LuLaRoe wares on live selling sessions. She recently decided to give selling Roby Brown’s jewelry a whirl during one such session. She mentioned Robyn wasn’t available to be on the call.

Brown sold the defunct jewelry line pieces at a discount, offering charms from the line for $10 apiece. She will be selling more jewelry from Roby Brown’s line in coming sessions.

‘Sister Wives’ fans bash the jewelry line

Despite Christine Brown’s enthusiasm, fans reacted poorly to the charms she had on offer from Robyn Brown’s line. Sister Wives fans didn’t pull any punches while criticizing the jewelry. One Redditor in particular noted how Christine said she was there when Robyn “drew up” the jewelry designs.

“$10 per charm. Sorry

Washington Football fans should embrace the beauty in an ugly NFC East race

The chase for the NFC East may be a joke, but I can’t fight it anymore — I’m all in. It’s time to embrace the ugly.

After the Washington Football Team stomped the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, in a matchup that easily tops the list of recent games that were actually fun to watch from this team, the conversation, as stupid as it felt to have, was about “the first place Washington Football Team”.

Sure they’re 4-7 and yes that sole possession of first is already gone because they got swept by the Giants, but given the years of meaningless football in November it just feels good to care about games every week again.

(It also helped to see Sad Jerry Jones make an appearance, too, after his team’s division chances only shrunk more if we’re being honest.)

I’ve been adamant that this team should be focused on a full rebuild this year, figuring out what young guys should be a part of this organization moving forward. That usually involves some level of sugar-coated tanking, though, and big picture thinking versus short-term, in-the-moment coaching.

Now, if you look at two straight wins for Washington along with the Jets and Jaguars making it clear they’re allergic to winning any football games, Washington would be wasting its time eyeing those first two draft slots.

Not to mention, we are starting to see some young talent rise to the top, especially Antonio Gibson, who clearly is a major part of this offense moving forward and a potential rookie of the year candidate now.

They obviously need a quarterback, even with Alex Smith now likely back in front as their short-term solution. Sadly Dwayne Haskins was a wasted pick, and Ron Rivera and co. will be using wherever they land in the 2021 NFL Draft to find their future at the position.

That mindset shouldn’t change.

It won’t be in the first few slots now, though, and that’s okay because even if Washington wins six games and doesn’t win the NFC East, we’ll have seen the most promising trait yet for this group of players heading into 2021 — momentum and growth.

The evaluation part of this year is starting to look like a success. We’re seeing certain names consistently step up, and we’re watching an entire organization slowly evolve right in front of us.

It doesn’t mean there won’t be ugly moments on the horizon, but we’re clearly seeing the shift in culture we’ve been begging for.

Let the rest of the country make fun of the ugly division. Let them have their NFC East jokes. We can embrace it. It’s a whole lot more fun than what we’re used to.
